“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” –Helen Keller

To increase your available energy, time and money, you need people. Think about it, 100% of all of your money somehow comes through people in one way or another. We have all been around people who drain our energy or time, and likewise, people who leave you excited, energized and can relive time pressures. We are more and more disengaged from interpersonal relationships and for women that is just plain dangerous. It affects our hormones, oxytocin levels and puts us at greater risk for anxiety, depression and the feeling of alienation. Don’t believe me, how about the article in WebMD “Loneliness Rivals Obesity, Smoking as Health Risk

“Unity is strength. . . when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” –Mattie Stepanek

Take a few moments and see who you have in your life for support. Write down each of one. We are stretching beyond the common co-worker, friends, and family circle. Wait who are these people? Here are some definitions to help you out, these roles used to be part of our villages and small communities.

“It takes two flints to make a fire.” –Louisa May Alcott

Let’s take a look at who you have and who you need to add. Next to each one put a number, 0 if there is no one on that spot, a 5 for a full 5-star experience with a person who rocks your sock!

MENTOR
COACH
CONFIDANTE
TRIBE OF 5
MASTERMIND

MENTOR
An influential connection, sponsor, or advisor who may also teach and counsel. Typically someone who is ahead of you in an area of your life. They could have valuable connections with others. Is an active supporter of you and is interested
in your growth.

COACH
Someone who will collaborate with you to help you achieve a goal.
A coach is an energetic influence and someone who helps you optimize your life. If you can’t walk due to an injury you go to a physical therapist, if you want to be a better athlete you get a coach. They help you do what you would not have done on your own or you would have already done it.

CONFIDANTE
She is a friend you can confide in, someone you trust with your private thoughts, and who you’re sure can keep a secret.

TRIBE OF 5
5 or fewer people that you connect with on a regular basis to talk about your goals, not gossip or trivial chit-chat. They know your goals. You know their goals. Talk often, sometimes daily or several times a day – about successes, failures, and challenges you face. This is your inner power circle.

MASTERMIND
A mastermind group sole purpose the members achieving success, by brainstorming, idea testing, etc. Napoleon hill formalized the concept of a mastermind alliance in the book Think and Grow Rich:
The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony… No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force,
which may be likened to a third mind [the mastermind].

Where you have a 4-5 star score those are keepers, and you may have noticed these people add energy and value to your life. Nurture these relationships, if you have not spoken with them, reach out this week and love them up. If you have a 5 star keep connecting with that person a priority.
Where do you see gaps? The scores of 0 – 3 those are opportunities and you may have noticed and maybe a beneficial person to add to your life. The 4-5 star people often will notice people you can add where you have a low score.
